New Reference Index for Raw Materials

We would like to inform you that the current reference association for raw materials, the European Foundry Association (CAEF), has ceased the publication of the "Monthly Scrap Monitoring Index" as of March 01st. For more information, please visit:

Below, we present the new reference index and its composition:

TASSO Index Definiton

50% BDSV Sorte 2/8
25% FEAF Scrap
25% FEAF Basic Ingot

The new TASSO INDEX takes into account two different associations and three different reference values, to ensuring an accurate and consistent quotation over time. The table and graph below show the average values from previous years, highlighting that the average deviation is 0.03 cents/kg short.
This discrepancy will be applied to the base prices used for the structure the price lists, which will undergo minimal variations due to rounding.
The next issued price list will be indexed to the new TASSO and TASSO BERNAREGGI INDEX.
